REVIEW RIGHT ANGLE GUITAR CORD ADAPTOR

I literally own thousands of cables. I have a room full of cables that is the result of collecting them since the 1960's. I have well over 500 guitar cords in various configurations in stock.

Time was you knew in advance where the input and output jacks were on a stomp box, input on the right and output on the left. This made it easy to chain stomp boxes together using little short right-angle to right-angle cords.

Now in 2021 we find ourselves with jacks on the sides and on the top/rear, so you can pack those pedals close together for a more compact pedalboard.

I need straight cable ends to plug in the top/rear connector configuration and right angle plugs to service the more traditional left/right, input-output jack style design. Finally I could not take it any more, I went looking for a right angle adaptor so I could just stock cables with straight plugs.

NOTICE HOW CABLE HUGS THE SIDE OF THE STOMP BOX

I found these adaptors on Amazon. They remind me of crap inexpensive connectors or adaptors I've used in the past but so far they are working well and they've saving me lots of floor space too. It always amazes me how quickly the studio floor gets clogged up with pedals. If you have straight plugs on the left and right then each pedal takes up almost 12-inches in horizontal space.
MY STUDIO PEDAL BOARD USES A LOT OF CABLES

These handy adaptors take a hard right or left turn and route everything out the rear direction. Each connector only adds about 3/4-inch of horizontal space. This results in a much smaller foot print by the effects pedals.

My first use was to patch this Eko Verb pedal into the effects loop of my 5150 III 50-watt head. When you're inserting a plug into one of these right angle adaptors you have to push pretty hard to get the plug all the way in. Once inserted there is zero wiggle or flakiness, the connection is very solid and worked without any noise or problems.

I ordered these adaptors in a two pack for $5 per plug. The price seems a bit high but that was the best deal I could find. These are a real problem solver so I am ok with it so long as they don't screw up.

Search for RIGHT ANGLE GUITAR CORD ADAPTOR and you'll find all the choices.
