Manley Labs, makers of iconic tube gear like the Massive Passive and one of the most expensive Variable Mu tube compressors, has been acquired in what is described as an all-cash transaction, by entrepreneur and industry veteran Dirk Ulrich, who is best known for iZotope.
It remains to be seen what Mr. Ulrich does with his new hardware manufacturing arm. Eve Anna Manley will immediately step aside from operations but will assist in the transition to the new owner.
