SANDWICH APOCALYPSE - Classic Rock and humor rolled into an album with a familiar sound

We've been very busy here in the High on Technology recording studio. We were having a band meeting and Mary King asked the simple question "What if the leader of a big old band wanted a sandwich late one night, they went to the bread box and found there was no more bread". What would it sound like if they sang about it passionately? Like a drug fueled power trio in the 1960s, a full tilt hard rock love song from the 70s, Swedish pop or New Wave from the 80s, or grunge from the 90s?

Rob and Bridget reached out to the actual stars but nobody seemed to get the hilarity. So the band took up the challenge and before we knew what was happening Mark started mixing these songs that almost sound like something you've heard before. Working night and day he blended effects and tried to put a classic tone on each of the tunes.

The best part is the humor that everyone brought to the tracks, comparing lost love with "No More Bread", our lyrics became the Sandwich Apocalypse

It turned out better than we could have imagined, every virtual act essentially singing their own version of "No More Bread" and putting their unique special spin and identity on their track.

As a concept album it is probably going nowhere fast but we had a blast putting it together and it shines as a beacon of creativity.

Press the big red button on the player below and feel free to skip around if you don't like what you hear, there is a LOT of variety in these song versions. There is literally something for everyone.
