Constant upgrades and changes have kept me from getting into Studio One, I like stability. Up til now S-1 has felt like a runaway freight train barreling down a mountain. I hope this is not the crash at the bottom but Fender does not have much good to report in their previous high tech acquisitions. I'm going to sit back and watch and I'm staying right where I am with Logic Pro which has great samples, excellent synthesizers, cool drums and everything you need to produce great sounding music. Once you own Logic Pro you never pay for another upgrade, that is the sweetest deal of all DAW systems.
Will Fender keep my Quantum Thunderbolt interfaces alive through software updates or kill them to try to get me to upgrade? It is a dismal thought. I wish them well, keep the old systems alive or face an avalanche of hate from users like me.
No time to lament, time to get creative. Lets go write more songs and make more music!
